BLM Launches Phase II of Contested Wild Horse Attack in Nevada « Straight from the Horse's Heart

The Owyhee portion of the much contested Tuscarora Roundup was allegedly completed yesterday which indicates that the roar of stampede helicopter blades will move and descend upon the unknowing wild horses of the Rock Creek area today. With only conflicting reports issued by the BLM, no one is clear as to the exact number of horses killed (18) nor the total number of horses brutalized during Owyhee as the U.S. public was denied access and First Amendment rights were not protected; even Federal Court supported Laura Leigh, equine welfare advocate. Armed with the approval of a Federal judge to be present to witness and document the actions of the BLM and their helicopter stampede contractors, Ms. Leigh was held away as the BLM, in a devious move, set up the trap site and holding area on private land which rendered her presence to be trespassing.
